Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Supportive Agents ("Supportive Agents", "we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Supportive Agents platform for building and embedding AI agents. By using the Service you agree to this Policy; please also read our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (passwords are stored using bcrypt, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Your knowledge content — the documents you upload and the website pages you crawl, which we process into text chunks and embeddings to power your agents.
- Conversations — messages exchanged with your agents are stored so you can review them and so the agent can keep context during a chat.
- Usage & technical data — basic request and operational data needed to run, secure and improve the Service (for example, verifying the sign-up security check and counting messages against plan limits).
- Local storage — we store small items in your browser's local storage (such as your theme preference, cookie choice and demo message count) to make the product work.
2. How we use information
- to provide the Service — create your agents, index your knowledge and generate answers;
- to authenticate you and keep your workspace private and secure;
- to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse (for example, the captcha on sign-up);
- to maintain, debug, analyse and improve the platform;
- to communicate with you about the Service when needed.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train shared or third-party AI models.
3. Cookies & local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember essential preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser and through the cookie banner shown on first visit.
4. Where your data is stored
Your account, agents, knowledge chunks, embeddings and conversations are stored in the Supportive Agents database. Text embeddings are generated locally, so your knowledge does not need to be sent to an external embedding provider to be indexed.
5. Sharing & third parties
- AI model provider — when an agent answers, the relevant message text and retrieved context are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the response.
- Google — used only if you choose Google sign-in.
- WhatsApp / Meta — used only if you connect an agent to WhatsApp; messages are exchanged through their platform.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting and database providers that run the Service on our behalf.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies, and we only share what is needed to perform the requested action. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual documents and agents at any time, and you can permanently delete your entire workspace and account from Settings → Danger zone. Deleting your workspace removes your agents, documents, embeddings and conversations. Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords, access controls scoped to your workspace, and a security check (captcha) on sign-up. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
8. International transfers
The Service and its providers may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your name and workspace in Settings, remove your content, and delete your account entirely. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
